Updated groups include: 4712, Alive, Arcoss, Bodycount, Conflict, Cyborg Power System [CPS], Death (CZ), Digitech+The Warriors, Exile (HU), Hexagon, Jaguar, Lore Of Arts [LOA], Mantronix, Number One, Overkill [OKL], Powers Of Pain [POP], Tankard, The Zero Boys, Trojan, Ultimax, Victory, Zorro Soft Switzerland [ZSS] and many more. Going Lowres | There is a new trackmo demo from TRSI called Going Lowres. The demo was made by Streetuff, Linus and Veto and won 6th place at the Breakpoint 2010 Wild Compo. To view the demo you need a Commodore VIC-20 with a 16k RAM expansion and a disk drive. For people without an 16k RAM expansion there is a music collection and logo on the diskette. You can also view the demo in the VICE emulator. Hires Color | Erich released another Hires Color disk. This time a 2 sided disk with 32 converted high resolution images for the C16 and Plus/4 computer. The images are displayed using the Magica viewer. C64 Intros | The web page C64 Intros has added another 500 intros bringing the total to 5800 intros. IntroBase v1.4 | K.C. has updated his IntroBase64. In this update: 200 new intros. IntroBase64 now uses GEMUS.DAT. Changes and additions in the documentation. The IntroBase64 can be downloaded as a rar-archive which includes all necessary files. ADA | The web page ADA (Amiga Demoscene Archive) is back on-line. The web page was not available for some time due to trouble from hackers. On these web pages, you will find some of the best demos and intros ever released on the fabulous Amiga computer. All the demos listed here, are of high quality. 300 new C64 intros | The web page c64Intros has updated there database and have added 300 new intros. A few examples of groups with new intros are: A-Team, Atrix, Cocoon, Doughnut Cracking Service, Fucked Beyond Repair, Online, Rough Trade Incorporated, Success, Talent+International Network of Chaos, Tristar+Red Sector Incorporated, Vagabonds, Varsity+Acrise, World Wide Expressive, Xpert Protection Busters. Besides the new intros there also many intros updated. The total of intros is now 4200. VICUAL MMIX | Pasi Ojala released a new demo for the VIC-20. This demo runs on a un-expanded VIC-20 with a disk drive. The music for this demo was made by Anders Carlsson. All the parts of the demo are explained on Pasi's web page, there is a NTSC and PAL version of the demo and the source codes are also available. 4000 C64 intros | After adding another 154 intros the total has reached 4000 C64 intros. A few examples of the Latest intros are: Accept, Akrak, Bassline, Computer Freaks Association, Dynamic Technology, Excess, Fatum, Genlog, Hokuto Force, Lazer, Mental, Onslaught, Paralax and many more. C64 intros | There are another 203 new intros added to the database. This time the intros are from well known groups. The people behind the web pages are now working on building a new web page. Introbase64 | Kees Zaaijer released version 1.3 of the Introbase. IntroBase64 is a database like the GB64 collection. IntroBase64 tries to preserve intros that crackers made for games they had cracked. The database has now about 3500 intros and more than 5500 screen shots. The complete Introbase system can be downloaded. If you want to help Kees with this project please send him an email. OVH Is Our King | New demo for the Plus/4. This demo is released by a new group called Monarchy. The coding was done by Attila (Csio) and the graphics are from Fischer (Derrick). The demo was 4th in the Arok 10 demo competition. You can download the demo for your Plus/4 or you can watch the demo on YouTube. C64 Intros | The web page of C64 Intros had some problems but the pages are back (thanks to Slaygon). And there are 160 new intros and 18 new groups. With this update there are also lots of intro fixes. The total of intros are getting close to 3500. Edge of Disgrace | On the X2008 party the demo competition was won by an amazing demo. This C64 demo called Edge of Disgrace by Booze Design is the new standard in demo making. Dane, HCL and Jailbird spent about a year on this demo. The best way to look at this demo is on a real C64 or an good emulator. But it can also be found on YouTube. JSL graphics | JSL is a very active C64 graphics artist. In this year he released more than 25 pieces of art. Take a look on the Commodore Scene database for all his work. Ancient School | Andreas Gustafsson released a demo for the Commodore VIC-20. Andreas released demos in the past for systems like the Commodore C64, C64 DTV, a Texas Instruments TI-83 calculator and the PC. This time he did a demo on the VIC-20 with a 512 dots per frame plotter in a 96x160 pixels screen. 32 characters DXYCP with 8x8 animated characters. 3D vector in a 96x160 screen. You can download the demo and many others from his web page. C64intros 100 more | There are another 100 new fresh intros and 15 new groups. There are 31 intros from the group Brutal. The C64intros web page wants to thank everyone who submitted intros to the site. But if you have a intros that's not on the web page please send them in. The Next Level | The VIC-20 demo The Next Level by PWP won second place in the oldskool demo category on Assembly 2008. The demo can be run on a real VIC-20 or in the VICE emulator. (disk-drive, no expansion). PWP (Pers' Wastaiset Produktiot) is a Finnish demogroup founded in 1994. PWP is known for their story line based demos. C64 Intros | The C64intros web page added another 100 new intros to the database. This brings the total up to almost 3200 intros. The intros are from more than 900 different groups. From the group Brutal there are 31 new intros added. If you have any intros that are not on the web page please send them in to the people from this web page. XeO3 Demo | You can download and play the first level of XeO3 on your Plus/4. You will have to fight with hordes of baddies in order to clean up the scene, collect coins to keep your weapon up, and reach the end of the level. WE ARE FAMILY - The 2nd Coming | There is a new DVD available for C16 and Plus/4 fans. It contains 10 demos and 92 photos. The total time is about 2 hours long and will show the following: 8 Shades of Black, Notizen aus de provinz, Adventures in mono, Zenith of Puberty, Oldschool, Halassa, Crackers demo 4, Shade, Monopsy and Threeve. You can download the complete DVD from the web page. 407566 | Andreas Gustafsson's made a one-file demo to celebrate that he has had his C64 (with serial number 407566) for 20 years! You can download the demo from his web page. Supernatural | AmN of Resource released a very nice picture called Supernatural. AmN has made many pictures for the Commodore C64. You can take a look at his art on the CSDb. Asinus Perplexus | Oxyron released a demo for the C64 DTV. You can watch it on Youtube. Or if you want to run it on a C64 DTV or with VICE Plus you can go to CSDb to get the file. Oxyron Party, results and pictures | The second Oxyron party in Flensburg Germany was a big success. This compo is for Demo, GFX and Music made on a 8-bit machine like the C64 and the Atari 800XL, 16/32 bit machines like the Amiga or Atari ST and even the PC. The 8-bit demo was won by Streettuff/Benson/Peiselulli with the DTV demo 2008 a DTV Oddysey, second were degauss/tek with the Plus/4 demo Haziasan and third was Bauknecht with the Plus/4 demo Threeve.
