Game Corner Q2/2014 | Games Corner is an English diskette magazine about new games and about cracking games. C64 cartridge dumper | Rob needed a way to get the data from a Commodore C64 cartridge. He made a device that can dump standard 8 kByte cartridges. He uses a Arduino that is connected to the cartridge to get the data and transfers the data to a PC via the USB connection. The schematics and firmware is available.

HVSC #61 | There is a update available of the High Voltage SID Collection. There are now more then 45.000 SIDs in the collection. In this update 749 new SIDs, 1479 fixed/better rips, 727 SID credit fixes, 323 SID model/clock infos, 19 tunes identified and 73 tunes moved. You can download the update from the HVSC web page.

Drumo in Adventureland - C64 | Roberto Ricioppo made a new SEUCK game for the Commodore C64. In the game you are Drumo and you live on your own beer farm. But aliens want to take over the beer farm. You must fight with the aliens with your catapult and save the beer farm from being invaded by the aliens.

SID Known v1.08 | Wilfred Bos released an update of SID Known. This version is compatible with the latest HVSC (#61). SID Known is a tool which you can use to identify SID tunes from SID and PRG files.

C64 Endings | The web page c64endings.co.uk has added new endings of Commodore C64 games. The most recent additions are: Astro Marine Corps (Dinamic), Beyond Dark Castle (Activision), Cavemania (Atlantis Software), Clystron (CP Verlag / X-Ample) and Captain Blood (Infogrames).

C64 Forever 2014 | Cloanto released the 2014 version of the C64 Forever emulation package. Changes in this version: The user can now set the personal rating for any title. Improvements for the RP9 editor, loading times, keyboard input, Send Feedback option, and many more improvements. The emulator is compatible with Windows 7 and 8.

Jonathan Temples interview | The C64.com web page had an interview with Jonathan Temples. Jonathan is a graphical artist who worked for Code Masters, Zeppelin Games, Choice Software and Genesis Software. His first computer was a Commodore VIC20 that was later followed by a C64. Some of the games he worked on are: SpellCast, Spikey in Transylvania, CJ in the USA, Stuntman Seymour, DJ Puff's Volcanic Capers, Nobby the Aardvark and many more. Chameleon 64 - 9a | An new core is available for the Chameleon. Changes in this core: Improvements for: RESTORE key, CIA timer B interrupt, Pagefox cartridge emulation, Disk drive emulation, VIC-II emulation, SDRAM refresh counter, SIDplayer and the file browser. And a player for Compute Gazette SID player files (.mus/.str) is now available.

C64Studio v3.6 | C64 Studio is a assembly development environment which is dependent on VICE. You can write assembly code and test this with the VICE emulator. Recent changes: Added extra data per map in the map editor, license information, IDE layout saving, !convtab, Charpad .ctm import, !media, !mediasrc and many general improvements.

CGSC v1.28 | The CGSC (Compute's Gazette Sid Collection) has had an update. The COMPUTE!'s Sidplayer was a music system, created by Craig Chamberlain and Harry Bratt, for the Commodore 64. The aim of the Compute's Gazette Sid Collection is to preserve as many of those Sidplayer music files in one location as possible. The current collection contains 13644 MUS, 4043 STR and 4737 WDS files.

Xain'D Sleena - C64 | Sputnik World released a Commodore C64 version of the Arcade game Xain'D Sleena. In the game you are Xain, a galactic bounty-hunter who must defeat the enemy on five different planets. The program was written by Rulas International, the music is from Baron Ashler, the graphics are done by Rulas International and Bieno64 tested the game.

Bonny Lindberg interview | The C64.com web page had an interview with Bonny Lindberg. Bonny better known as Skyie was a member of the following groups: The Jedi Knights (TJK), The Technocrats Worldwide (TTW) and Triad. FRODIGI - C64 | Thealgorithm released FRODIGI (Free Running Oscillator Digi) for the Commodore C64. FRODIGI is a new method of playing back digitized samples. It uses the free running SID oscillators of the SID chip with 3 channels and a master volume to recreate the audio. It can store 4 minutes of audio into less than 41 KByte.

GLINK232 | GLINK232 is an UART cartridge for the Commodore 64/128 developed by GG Labs. The standard communication of the Commodore 64/128 is limited to 2400 Baud. The SwiftLink232 and turbo232 cartridges could reach higher communication speeds but these cartridges are no longer in production. The GLINK232 Can reach communication speeds up to 38400 Baud.
