Start page HybridSID | Markus Gritsch has build a hybrid between an emulated and a hardware SID Player. The CPU and CIA are emulated with a PIC32 and the sound is generated by a hardware SID chip. C64 sounds on a Kaossilator Pro and KP3 | Dan Laskowski demonstrates more of his new line of C64 Fastfinger sounds for the Korg KP3 and Kaossilator Pro. The Kaossilator is a portable synthesizer manufactured from Korg for making a wide range of sounds that can be played in a loop. You can watch the demonstration on YouTube. 8580 SID-player | Peter build himself a 8580 SID-player. For this project he used a AT91SAM7S256 @ 48MHz processor, 64KB RAM, 2x16 LCD display and a SD card for 35000+ PSID files. The system is build inside a Pioneer DT 555 case and can be controlled with the help of a menu. Watch the video on YouTube for more information about this project. SID Known v1.0 | Wilfred Bos released a new command line tool which you can use to identify SID tunes from SID and PRG files. The tool has two methods to identify SID music. The first method is to play the SID and generate a hash to look it up in the database. The second method will try to identify the SID tune by it's memory usage. SID Known can be used on a Windows computer but a multi-core CPU is recommended. AmigaRemix | You can listen to new remixes on the AmigaRemix web page. SID chip in a Scorpion ZS-256 | BYTEMAN is experimenting with the combination of the CSG 8580 SID Soundchip from legendary computer Commodore 64 and the russian clone of the ZX Spectrum the Scorpion ZS-256. AmigaAMP v2.25 | Thomas Wenzel released an update of his music player for the Amiga. AmigaAMP is a GUI based MPEG audio player using the 68k or PPC processor for the decoding. It can also play AIFF, WAV and 8SVX files. Changes in this version: Removed a bug in the xadmaster.library and in loading of complete directories. Fixed mouse button message handling and UTF support in ID2v3. Improved playlist keyboard navigation and implemented basic ID2v4 support. Amiga Music Preservation | The web page Amiga Music Preservation (AMP) celebrates it's 10 year anniversary. The goal of this web page is to be the most comprehensive, complete and precise database about Amiga music. They collect the Amiga music including the information about and interviews of Amiga musicians. The database is filled with more than 60.000 items and it is still growing. C64 Keytar | On this Youtube video you can see an demonstration of Jordan Bartee playing Giana Sisters. He uses a heavily modified Commodore C64 to play the music. He added a second SID (6581), keyboard and the MidiBox SID platform to his C64. The Richard Joseph Tribute | The Richard Joseph Tribute was released by Onslaught, Protovision and Samar Productions. The SID's in this tribute are: Cauldron II Sinus Milieu Studie, Defender of the Crown, For Domination #01, Monster Museum, Rimrunning, RJ, Robocrack und Wizkid Music. Dual SID | Tomi Malinen made a dual SID system for the Commodore C64. You can buy the printed circuit board and assemble it yourself. Features: Small board (40mm x 50mm). 6581 or 8580. JSIDPlay2 v2.0 | JSIDPlay is a Commodore C64 cycle-exact emulator optimized for sound reproduction. It is also a SID player for music collections like HVSC and CGSC. JSIDPlay2 can load SID (PSID/RSID), MUS, DAT, P00, PRG and STR sound files. It can play mono and stereo formats. External SID filter definitions are possible. And you can also use it like a real C64 to watch demos or play games. Lampa i Sofa | Surgeon made a new SID tune from the original song by Ania Wyszkoni. The SID reached the fourth place at the Silesia Party 4. The SID is available as a .prg file.
ACID 64 Player Pro v3.04 | Wilfred Bos released version 3.04 of his ACID 64 Player Pro. With this version there is now support for JSidplay2 and JSidDevice. This means you can use ACID 64 without hardware. Improvements: Faster start-up time. Emulation improvements. Copy file/directory added to context menu. Many small improvements. Fixes: ACID 64 couldn't start on some Windows 7 64 bit machines, Turning filter off and seek back turned filter on. Switching device and then seeking could silent the tune. Fast forward could freeze GUI in some cases.

In this demo you can listen to the wonderful sound of the vuvuzela that is being used at the World Cup Soccer 2010 in South Africa. This demo also competes in the most annoying releases of 2010 competition... YM-64 | Norbert Kehrer released a music tool for the Commodore C64. With his program YM-64 you can play music files on the Commodore C64 that were made for Atari ST, Amstrad/Schneider CPC, Sinclair ZX spectrum or MSX computers. All these computers had a YM2149 or AY-3-8910 music chip that had a square wave sound in three channels. It had a noise generator, which could be mixed with the the three square wave channels, and a parameter controllable envelope generator. Echofied 6581 | The famous Dutch music group Maniacs of Noise released a music-disk with 6 great SIDs. On this release you can find music from: Drax, Geir Tjelta, Jeroen Tel, Jogeir and Laxity. The code and design are from: Geir Tjelta, Mirage and Jon Hare. Concrete Ball | Richard Bayliss (TND) released a new SID that he called Concrete Ball. You can download the tune as a .d64 or as a .sid file. Another Byte Out Of The Dust | DJ Goons made a (60 minutes) SID remix called Another Byte Out Of The Dust. Besides listening to the SID remix on his web page you can also watch the Flashtro that is made for the SID remix.
