HVSC - New web page | The High Voltage SID Collection web page is totally renewed. The main parts are: The download section, Search, SID-Players, Info, FAQ and Links. Especially the Search part is much improved. You can for example type-in Jeroen Tel 1991 and you will be presented with a complete list. Via this list you can view details such as Title, Author, Release date, SID model, Speed, File Format and more or download the SID.

Egy szippantás a jóból | Hermit (Samar Productions) made a SID of the song Egy szippantás a jóból. The original is from the Hungarian jazz singer, Charlie Horvath.

ACID 64 Player Pro v3.0.3 | Wilfred Bos released a new version of his SID player for HardSID devices. New: Support for Uno and UPlay. Auto detection of turned on/off USB devices. Added sorting on column of every grid. Emulated SID. Improvements: When performing e.g. mute/unmute, filter on/off or pause then no time gap isn't noticed anymore while playing on a USB device. Seek bar is always going smooth now and still synched with the 6510 CPU clock. Improved fast forward. HardSID.dll isn't required any more for USB devices.

New HardSID products | There are two new HardSID products available. Both products (HardSID Uno and HardSID Uplay) are connected via the USB and do not need an external power supply. In both devices there are two SID sockets available. The HardSID Uplay has the extra option to select the SID through software. Prices are HardSID Uno 149,-- Euro and HardSID Uplay 169,-- Euro. The HardSID 4U is available for 399,-- Euro.

SIDstick | Jeff Ledger designed a portable SID player called the SIDstick. This device can play the entire HVSC collection wherever you are. Technical Details: 31kHz Sample rate. 16bit Resolution. Full filter support. Full envelope support. Supports all 4 waveform types. 16 steps main volume. Waveform reset bit works. Ring modulation. Oscillator synchronization. On Jeff's web page you can order a kit to build your own SIDstick.

HVSC #52 | The High Voltage SID Collection has been updated. This update: 874 new SIDs, 65 fixed/better rips, 470 SID credit fixes, 174 SID model/clock infos, 17 tunes identified. The whole collection (73 MByte) or the update (4,9 MByte) can be downloaded from the HVSC web page.

Commoradio | The internet radio station Commoradio plays a 1 hour play-list. The music is randomly generated. You can choose between Amiga 32/16 bit music and C64 8-bit music. There is no fancy interface, no presenters, no breaks, just authentic computer music for your ears!

SOASC | The search engine of the Stone Oakvalley's Authentic SID Collection has been improved. Searching is now faster, easier to use and has more functionality. Also the bandwidth has been increased, for faster downloaden of a MP3 of your favorite SID.

ACID 64 v3.02 | Wilfred Bos released an update of his SID player. Improved in this version: Last played file is remembered when ACID 64 is started. Selected file will always be visible. Special characters Ø and ø can now be searched. Escape in search boxes will now select the text. Selecting a search filter will change the color of the filter box. Copy filename strips HVSCRoot automatically. Seeking can now be cancelled (escape). Scrolling search results will now update rows immediately. HVSC #51 | The High Voltage SID Collection has been updated. This update: 953 new SIDs, 93 fixed/better rips, 320 SID credit fixes, 159 SID model/clock infos, 14 tunes identified. The whole collection (70 MByte) or the update (4,4 MByte) can be downloaded from the HVSC web page.

Nectarine Demoscene Radio | Nectarine Demoscene Radio is an Internet radio station dedicated to music from the demo scene. It's streamming 24 hours a day 365 days a year. You can also upload music or join others on the forum.

ACID 64 Player Pro v3.01 | Wilfred Bos released an update of his SID player. In version 3.01 the following bugs were removed: Some machines the index file wasn't created correctly. Indexing of folder with a few SIDs is fixed. Seek speed isn't dependent anymore on fast forward limitation. STIL and SLDB info are now working for files outside HVSC. Minimal horizontal width isn't locked to previous width anymore. Improvements: STIL window can always be opened now and doesn't close automatically anymore. Improved handling of SLDB entries. Changed a few keyboard short cuts.

ACID 64 Player Pro | Wilfred Bos released a new version (3.00) of ACID 64. With this new version the name has changed to ACID 64 Player Pro and is now only available for HardSID devices. In this version: Fast incremental SID file search on title, author, year and publisher fields. Search through SID tunes via slider bar. Digital clock. Scroll wheel support. Anonymous usage statistics. Tree view of folders improved. SidID search in properties menu is done in background now to access dialog faster. Emulation and Keyboard navigation improvements. Many small improvements and fixes.

JITT64 v1.02 | There is an update of JITT64 available, you can read the details on the JITT64 web page. Java Ice Team Tracker 64 is a java based music tracker (editor) for creating music for SID chip of Commodore 64. Instruments are totally based onto tables for full control of sound generation.

HVSC #50 | A new update of the High Voltage SID Collection is available. In this update: 678 New SIDs, 59 SIDs fixed, 482 SID credit fixes, 135 SID model/clock infos, 25 Tunes identified, 47 Tunes moved to the correct directories. You can download the update (4 MByte) or the whole collection (68 MByte)

LQS #107 | A new track from Liquid Skies Records. The mp3 is called Atmosphere Of Energy and is made by Alex West. The music is in the drum 'n' base style. The cover is made by Flintstone.

Press Play On Tape | PPOT will be performing at The Rock. The event is in Copenhagen, Denmark. The supporting act will be Reyn Ouwehand. Reyn is an internationally acclaimed performer and producer and the composer of famous tunes like Last Ninja 3 and Flimbo's Quest. Tickets are 110 Denmark Kroner or about 15 Euro's.

LDX#40 Live | The musician LDX#40 did a live radio concert on Radio X. There is a mp3 recording (08.02.09) available for download. LDX#40 makes electronic music with a C64.

Amiga Remix | The web page AmigaRemix.com added new remixes to their collection. This month there were 20 new mp3 files added. A few examples are: Gummisnoppis, TURRICAN 2009 MetalMedley, Twilight Warp, Lotus 2 Level 2, Lost Patrol Remix and Spaceballs.

SID Compo results | The results are available of the SID Compo #8. And the winner is Eskimonika by Stellan Andersson (Dane). You can download all (22) SID's that were in the competition. Available formats are: SID, PRG, MP3.

HVSC Search | This is an interface to the High Voltage SID Collection. You can search on Name, Author, Copyright, Year, Path, STIL or do a Quick Search. Quick Search searches all fields except the STIL and wraps search phrase in wildcards.

remix.kwed.org | If you are a fan of SID remixes then visit this web page. Every month a dozen or more remixes are added. The remixes can be downloaded as mp3's including the original SID.

The Last Compo (SidCompo #8) | The web page c64.sk has a SID competition at the moment. You can still enter your own SID tune until November 28. You also can vote for your favourite tune.

ACID64 v2.4 | Wilfred Bos released a new version of his ACID64. Changes in version 2.4: Emulation improvements. STIL info can now be retrieved for a SID file if it is not played from the default HVSC location. When HardSID 4U device is turned off while ACID 64 Player is running and turned on again, playback can continue after song restart. Opening SID files via Internet Explorer is now possible. This makes it possible to play SID tunes via the online SID search of www.hardsid.com.

HVSC #49 | You can download the latest High Voltage SID Collection. In edition 49 there are 1059 new SIDs. Also 54 fixed or better versions of SIDs. More than 400 credits are corrected. You can download the whole archive (71 MByte) or the update (4.3 MByte) from the web page. The total amount of SIDs is now 36,081 !

8Bit Mayhem PodCast (X2008) | Scout made another podcast. This episode has a selection of SID-tunes which entered the music-competition or were used in demo's which competed in the demo-competition. ACID-64 v2.3 | ACID 64 is developed by Wilfred Bos and is a cycle based Commodore 64 music player designed for playing SID tunes on sound cards/devices that have a real SID chip (6581/6582/8580) on board.
In version 2.3 the following has been improved: SID reset. Numeric keypad can now be used for short cuts. Added features are: Voice 4 mute/undo mute short cut. Popup menu for selecting sub tunes. Fixed in this version are: Digi playback on ISA/PCI cards has no more timing problems. Window size and position startup option is now shown correctly.

SOAMC | The Stone Oakvalley's Amiga Music Collection is almost complete. After the amazing project of recording all HVSC music from a real C64 the next step was taken. Take an Amiga and record all available music to MP3. There are now more than 30.000 tracks available for download. It took over 200 days 24/7 to make this possible.

ACID64 2.2 | There is a new version available of the music tool ACID64. Improved response time for HardSID 4U. Improved playback on multi core CPU systems during background playback on ISA/PCI cards. Increased FIFO memory on Catweasel MK4 for better playback of digi tunes. Song length database is now loaded when HVSC location is updated in preferences dialog. Clock is now displayed correctly during HardSID 4U playback. Layout is now Vista compatible.

Radio 6581 | If you like the sound of SID than you like to listen to Radio 6581. Non-stop SID hits and live shows. You can make request or chat on the forum.
